Holiday Observance and Closures

 

Royal Owl Academy will be closed all religious and national holidays. Please inform director or teacher of any questions or any holidays that you may celebrate so we can make proper arrangements for you and your child. *Dates are subject to change and Parents will be notified with a letter each year.

 

Royal Owl Academy will be closed to observe the following holidays:

 

• January 17th - MLK Day

• February 21st - Presidents Day

• May 30th - Memorial Day

• July 4th -  4th of July

• September 5th - Labor Day

• October 10th - Columbus Day

• November 11th- Veterans Day

• November 23rd- Open from 730 to noon

• November 24th & 25th - Thanksgiving Day and the day after

• December 23rd & 26th- Christmas

• December 30th -New Year

 

In the event of a severe weather condition we will close the academy to keep everyone safe. Please follow the local news channels and stations for severe weather conditions there will be a special closure message on our voicemail. Royal Owl Academy will also inform you of any emergency closures by leaving a message on our voicemail greeting, or through text, email, or phone call. Please provide notification if your child is going to be absent.  Notification can be communicated via phone, email or written notice. Sick days are not refunded.   Vacation days are refunded as long as a 2 week notice is provided in advance.

 

I may take 2 scheduled vacations during the year.  Tuition is not due during these specific times if I am closed. I will give each parent/guardian at least 1 month notice prior to taking vacation time and I need to close.  I will do my best to schedule vacation time more than 1 month in advance giving parents ample notice if I close. If I remain open during my vacation time staff will fill in and we will be open regular business hours.  

Backup Child Care Arrangements
In the event that I am sick; I will notify parents no later than 4:30 a.m. that day.  If you have any concerns regarding back-up care, please contact me directly.
